There’s something so great about the post-shower routine. It’s almost like a get-your-life-back-together moment. You got your towel wrapped on your head, do a little q-tip cleaning of the ears, skincare regimen, and moisturize from head to toe. It’s basically like pressing the reset button and becoming your new, refreshed self.
Growing up, my mom placed a HUGE importance on moisturizing. Like, we could not leave for school unless we had “cream on our legs”. She would even keep a little bottle of moisturizer downstairs by the key cabinet AND one in the car. It was safe to say we were NOT leaving the house with ashy legs.
*Cue my moisturizer obsession*
I’ve tried many lotions and oils over the years and the Green Tea Honey Drops Body Cream by Elizabeth Arden is one of my all time favorites.
Reasons why I love it:
- the smell: it lasts on your skin throughout the day and it smells like a fresh shower. I get so many compliments on the scent. They usually ask which perfume I’m wearing, then I tell them “none, just my lotion!” I even have the Green Tea Scent Spray to enhance the smell.
- it makes your skin feel ultra-soft and hydrated, all day. Seriously, I’ve never had a lotion keep my skin so soft for so long.
- it comes in a tub so you can scrape every last drop— trust me, you’ll want to.
The only reason I can’t say it’s THE best is because it does list some parabens at the end of the ingredient list. The other body moisturizer I use that is all natural is Kopari’s Organic Coconut Melt. I’ll just slather it all over and smell like a fresh coconut all day. The only downside to that is being oily. I have to be careful where I sit down if I just applied it. Theres pros and cons to both but these two are definitely my top two!
