This trip has been absolutely incredible so far… it’s almost hard to believe how beautiful it is out here in Ubud. I’ve been to Bali once when I was in college, but already this trip has been so different! Last time I stayed in Seminyak and Uluwatu, and it was more of a party trip. There will be some partying on this trip since we’re here for a wedding, but we’re enjoying our “zen” here in Ubud before that.
The photos above are all from our stay at Chapung Sebali, which is a boutique hotel in Ubud. We booked it through The Asia Collective, and they set us up in a private villa overlooking the jungle. We had dinner at their popular restaurant Jungle Fish, and chilled by the Jungle Fish Pool Bar during the day. The staff was sooo friendly and it felt very “homey” and special there… probably because it’s a boutique hotel. We were sad to leave after just one night, but I’d love to go back there one day.
Not pictured: the open gym overlooking the jungle. We worked out for about 30 min before breakfast.
The Jungle Fish pool bar was very “happening” for Ubud. It’s open to the public (for a fee) and there’s fun music playing. It was nice because we had the option of chilling here or at our own pool if we wanted more privacy.
They actually provided me with a discount code for you guys to use if you are interested in booking! The code is “Returning2019” and it gives you guys a 20% discount on their non-refundable rate for direct booking only with minimum stay of 2 nights. (For their high demand periods (1 July – 30 September and 24 December – 5 January), a minimum of 5 nights reservation is required for this offer.)
